Shoot Report

Weather - A brisk and gusty wind across the field made shooting very tricky.  Quite pleasant when the sun was out but distinctly chilly when cloudy.  The Gentlemen Longbow Archers found the 180yds distance beyond them and had to join the ladies at their flag but even then were toiling.

Although the numbers were small and a bit of a disappointment for possibly the only double GNAS Clout in Scotland this year, the typical camaraderie and friendliness of clout was self evident.

The windy conditions meant that even though the shoot was not record status, scores were always going to be on the low side.

Bannockburn Bowmen must be commended for their hosting the event, Brenda Williams organisation was efficient and effective and it is hoped that Bannockburn Bowmen could host another clout next year with tassel and record status and lead to the re-establishment eventually of a Scottish Clout Championship.
